MARK USHER RACING

MARK USHER (The Trainer)

I began training in 1982, having worked previously for some of racing's most respected trainers including Barry Hills, Robert Armstrong and Henry Candy.

During that time I was closely associated with some great horses, including European Champion sprinter MOORSTYLE and the champion mare TIME CHARTER.

Since setting up training, I have had a steady stream of winners, which includes success at Group and Listed level on the Flat, over 300 in total. I have also had my fair share of National Hunt winners.

I am now based at Saxon House Stables, where my policy is to run an open, friendly and professional yard, where visitors and owners are always welcome.

GET INVOLVED - RACING PARTNERSHIPS

Because of spiralling training costs and upkeep, I believe and am keen that the way forward is to develop properly managed and well run partnerships.

You may be surprised at how little it costs to become a racehorse owner and if you "click" on my "Ownership" page, you can browse through the details of what is on offer.

The Saxon House Partnerships are all professionally run and demonstrate total financial transparency.

SAXON HOUSE STABLES

My yard, Saxon House, was the home for many years of the legendary Fulke Walwyn who trained a whole series of great steeplechasers, including Mill House, Mandarin, Charlie Potheen and The Dikler. Also, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother had many successful horses trained here.

Along with its fine history and superb access to the Lambourn gallops, I find the yard a top-class environment from which I can continue to produce plenty of winners.
