Marmajuke Bay at Nottingham
This afternoon we take Marmajuke Bay to Nottingham for their most important race of the Season, the Colwick Cup. Marmajuke Bay ran well over a mile and three quarters at Ascot’s Summer Mile Meeting probably not being particularly suited by the way the race was run and his consistency and ability have earned him an opportunity to take his chance in a race of this quality and competitiveness. Whilst the weight for age that the two probably improving three year olds get makes for an interesting handicap the truth is that this writer finds it difficult to understand why (witness the photo of him powering home in the Bibury Cup) he is a 20/1 shot more or less across the board or that 32/1 is currently available on the Exchanges given what he has achieved.
Leith Bridge at Bath tomorrow afternoon and a recently arrived person for our Yard, Threediamondrings, at Newbury will run for us tomorrow.
