MUR Club Update
It was a real shame Newbury was abandoned; not so much because we were expecting results but it would have been nice have one last good outing before the flat season ends. Also Lily Jones will have to wait a little longer for her first ride. If any female amateur races come up suitable for the Club horses we will consider them for her. The weather has been so wet for so long but Friday night and Saturday morning were pretty extreme so it wouldn’t have been a pleasant day out.
Unfortunately Leicester has suffered the same fate so Misu Pete won’t be going either. Born To Please is in at Nottingham on Wednesday but we will have to see what happens. She needs a few not to declare but with the ground the way it is I’m sure that won’t be a problem. Nottingham has had the same rain Newbury and Leicester have though and it’s described as heavy too. It’s going to be dry but the temperature is going to drop to near freezing and I can’t imagine the ground drying much.
Our next target could now be the charity race at Newbury on the 7th November. We hope the weather remains mostly dry! I will let you know who’s running when we know but it is the first race of a normal meeting so it will be the same deal with badges etc.
