Bay gelding by Byron out of Sweetest Revenge. He is closely related to the high-class racemare that Mark trained, Royal Alchemist. He is also a half-brother to the yard’s three-time winner Sweet Ovation.
A May 2010 foal he made his debut in June 2012 and was relatively immature when running green in three competitive maidens over the Summer. Once qualified for Nursery Handicaps he began to progress culminating when coming from last to first to win a competitive handicap at Lingfield under Richard Kingscote in December.
He has had a break and has returned in good heart. On his reapperance at Chepstow, he ran a solid race in horrid conditions to finish third, which he will come on plenty for. He comes from an excellent family and is likely to progress further as he strengthens and matures.
