5 year-old bay mare by Overbury(IRE) out of East Rose. This strong robust mare finished a close up and running-on third on her first start over hurdles at Newton Abbot in August 2011.
By the high class National Hunt sire Overbury from one of the Aga Khan’s best families (she is related to the Triumph Hurdle winner Zarkandar) the filly justified the potential she showed at Newton Abbot when winning at Huntingdon the following October. After running well for a long way in the Cheltenham Triumph Hurdle Trial in December 2011 she returned to form with a decent third against older horses in a competitive handicap at Newton Abbot last May.
She has now unfortunately picked up an injury and will be off the track for while, the plan being to put her back on the track in the Autumn of 2013.
