Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

Visitors to the yard are always welcome! You can keep uptodate with the latest news from Rowdown by clicking this link and you can see our immediately upcoming Entries and running plans by clicking here and then selecting 'Entries'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dreamboat Annie

2015   Bay   Filly
by Piccolo  ex  Bold Rose  ( Bold Edge )

        Ushers Court
        Owner:  Ushers Court

By the Nunthorpe and King's Stand Stakes winner and now very successful and mature sire, Piccolo, out of a three times winning Bold Edge Mare, Bold Rose, that Mark trained this attractive and well made filly was bred by Verity Bourne at Itchen Valley Stud.

She was bred to be a two year old and has proved herself to be really effective over sprint distances; if you click here you can see a video of her cantering on the Lambourn Downs for the very first time.

Quietly progressive on the track and after running two decent races in Windsor and Lingfield Maidens she won a five furlong Bath Maiden Auction race decisively in the third week of June; if you click here you can see a video of her performance. Going to back to Bath for her Handicap debut in the middle of July her progression continued and she finished a neck second, here , to a more experienced horse of Mick Channon's going on throughout the final furlong; she should remain competitive in Nurseries going forward throughout the rest of the Summer and Autumn and is a nice filly in the making.
