Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

Visitors to the yard are always welcome! You can keep uptodate with the latest news from Rowdown by clicking this link and you can see our immediately upcoming Entries and running plans by clicking here and then selecting 'Entries'.

Fahrenheit Seven (GB)

2021   Bay   Gelding

by Showcasing (GB)  ex  Pizzazz (GB)  ( Foxwedge (Aus) )

Owner:  Ms Jacintha Hynes

By the Champion sire, Showcasing, out of an unraced Foxwedge mare who is a half sister to the highclass sprinter, Nine Below Zero and from the immediate family of the GOne winner Quiet Reflection, Jas purchased him from his breeders, Springcombe Park.

After four promising and progressive runs in Maiden Company he won a five furlong Handicap at Haydock in the first week of July and a six furlong iteration at Epsom in the second week of July, coming from a really unpromising position to win decisively; he was then off the track for about three and a half months before running really well over seven furlongs at Doncaster on the last Saturday of the turf season; he won in game and determined fashion at Newcastle in the third week of November off a mark of 80.

Now rated 82 he is a really smart, effective and progressive Handicapper.
