Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

Visitors to the yard are always welcome! You can keep uptodate with the latest news from Rowdown by clicking this link and you can see our immediately upcoming Entries and running plans by clicking here and then selecting 'Entries'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Final Deal

2017   Bay   Filly

by Due Diligence (USA)  ex  Investiture (GB)  ( Invincible Spirit (Ire) )

        Twenty Four Carrot Racing
        Owner:  Twenty Four Carrot Racing

From the first crop of the sprinting American bred stallion, Due Diligence, out of an Invincible Spirit Mare, she ran just the once at two, over six furlongs at Newbury at the beginning of July 2019, and then our plans for her as a three year old went awry because of the virus outbreak; she showed a degree of promise at Newbury, as you can see in the video here, being bang there until weakening over the last furlong; we are looking for her to be effective and competitive in sprinting handicaps once she has achieved a mark.

We got her back onto the track in the second week of the resumption and were delighted to see her run really well to be a close up fourth, just being touched off for third in a five furlong Maiden Stake at Wolvrhampton; ten days later we achieved a mark when she ran decently at Windsor just losing third close home after pulling quite hard early; she is a filly to keep on the right side of in Handicaps going forward over the Summer.
