2015   Bay   Filly

by Champs Elysees (GB)  ex  Creme Anglaise (GB)  ( Motivator )

Owner:  GAF Racing

By the high class Stallion, Champ Elysees, who won the Grade One Canadian International and the Northern Dancer Stakes, out of the Listed Placed Creme Anglaise, this splendidly looking filly was bought by Mark at Tattersalls in October 2016. If you follow this link you will be able to see her breezing behind the five year old Misu Pete in the first week of January.

She is from a middle distance family that has winners and Black Type running right through it. With this in mind Mark introduced her to the racecourse in an eight furlong Novice event at Kempton in the middle of October and she ran a race that will bode well for her future, running green and getting squeezed out early before running on steadily all the way up the straight under a considerate ride. She showed the benefit of this introduction when showing marked improvement in a similarly good class event restricted to Fillies at Kempton at the beginning of November, just losing second place in the last furlong; you can see a video of this race here

As a three year old she was quietly progressive winning over twelve furlongs on Newmarket's July Course at the beginning of August and winning a competitive Kempton Handicap over the same trip at the beginning of Novembr 2018.

After a short spell out of training she reappeared in six runner Fillies Handicap at Wolverhampton at the end of April, and, continuing her progression, got up close home as she went to the line under a fine ride from Steve Donohoe; two quieter runs, over a six week spell when the string as an entity were not running particularly well, at Sandown and Kempton followed; but stepped up in trip she ran a first class race to be beaten the shortest possible nose in a valuable and prestigious extended 13 furlong Filles Handicap at Newbury in the middle of July. She continued to quietly progress and defied a career high mark of 76 in winning over twelve furlongs at Newmarket at the beginning of November.

She is an extremely likable filly who has improved more than a stone over the last two Seasons; the Yard's long term aim is to get some Black Type for her.
