I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

2026 Rowdown Nursery Partnership
The rationale behind the Nursery Partnership is to introduce new bloodstock into the Yard at a competitive price and the 2026 iteration is the sixth Nursery we have run here at Rowdown; the previous five partnerships were successful and the twelve previous horses we have purchased and run through it won sixteen races (including the smart sprinting filly Liberty Bay who won at Kempton and later won on the July Course and was placed at Goodwood and Ascot & the Multiple Winner Monks Mead (who we have retained to race for a fourth season in 2026 and who won at Lingfield in January) and a number have been multiple placed.
Twenty shares in the Nursery are available and each Share costs £2000; this covers all of the purchase costs and expenses to the 31st December 2026. All three yearlings will be sold either within or outside the Yard at the end of the Year and a dividend paid out according to the total price they have achieved and the prizemoney they earn during 2026. Typically the last five Nurseries have produced an approximate dividend of 33%. Although the 2026 syndicate could return more or less than this it does show that the Nursery concept is a really cost effective way of being involved as an Owner; Racecourse Owners Badges are available when the horses run and you are welcome to see them on the move on the Lambourn Downs virtually any day Monday through to Saturday. The three Two Year Olds we have carefully selected to run for the Nursery in 2026 are:
Two Year Old Filly by Dream Ahead out of Incorrigible
Dream Ahead the sire of this filly has been one of the most prolific sires of winners worldwide over the last 10 or so years; on the track he won six races, five of them being Group One events over six and seven furlongs and in turn he is the sire of seven individual Group One winners himself; an outstanding record. Incorrigible, the dam of our filly, had two runs at Two, finishing second on her debut; as a Three Year Old she won two nice Handicaps at Brighton and was multiple placed.
Our filly comes from a successful family; her second dam, the dam of Incorrigible and named Indignant, was a useful racemare at seven furlongs winning a Listed Race and was Group Three placed twice. There is plenty of encouragement to take from this pedigree and we are very pleased to have her in the yard.
Two Year Old Filly by Ardad out of Blushing Beauty
By the winner of the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Flying Childers Stakes Winner, Ardad, out of a Mare who won in Germany, this filly is a half sister to the really smart multiple winner that we trained, Sid's Annie, as well as Bagatelle, who won one race for us; Sid's Annie won six races over trips between eight and ten furlongs and was rated 77.
We are delighted to continue our association with this successful family and this really nice filly should give our Nursery Partnership a lot of fun and enjoyment in 2026.
Two Year Old Colt by Ubettabelieveit out of Luciabelle
By the high class winner of the Flying Childers Stakes, Ubetterbelieveit, who is making such a successful start to his stallion career, out of a Mare from the top class Cheveley Park family of Polich Romance we are delighted to be able to train this strong, free moving colt who we are much looking forward to getting onto the track in the late Spring or early Summer.
Here he is cantering on the 31st March 2026.
