Jas has declared Reign of Thunder and Conquest of Power for Lingfield’s additional Meeting tomorrow afternoon … . .
I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.
Visitors to the yard are always welcome! You can keep uptodate with the latest news from Rowdown by clicking this link and you can see our immediately upcoming Entries and running plans by clicking here and then selecting 'Entries'.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Have a look at how to be involved at Rowdown here; a variety of options for affordable racehorse ownership are available from as little as £50 per month. Mark and Mike are always happy to talk about individual horses and ownership & partnership opportunities.
2020 Bay Gelding
by Sea The Moon (Ger) ex Pax Aeterna (USA) ( War Front (USA) )
From the extended family of the Breeders Cup winner and Champion US Two Year Old, Outstandingly (who later became one of Godolphin's significant broodmares), we purchased this three time raced gelding at the Tattersalls 2023 2000 Guineas HIT Sale. He raced three times for Kevin Philippart De Foy finishing fourth at Kempton and third at Southwell in Maiden and Novice company before running a little below par at Chelmsford at the end of February 2023; given a fair mark of 66 we hope that he will make up into a nice, competitive Handicap horse over eight and ten furlongs; as you can see from his photo if looks has anything to do with it he will the 2024 Cambridgeshire for us!!
You can see see his really promising debut run at Kempton last December under our old friend David Probert at the top right hand corner of this page; he is a nice horse with a future.
And here he is, on the near side, working really nicely under David Probert on the morning of 7th June 2023. We put him on track at the end of July 2023 over eight furlongs at Newbury and he ran a quietly promising race on his first start for five months, keeping on throughout the last furlong and a half; and she showed improvement on his second start for us, at Wolverhampton at the end of July, finishing with greater effect and being the closest at the finish; he is a horse to follow and he should make up into a nice handicap horse.
