Yesterday Evening at Kempton
It would be true to say that things went slightly disappointing at Kempton yesterday evening. Misu Pete ran a modest race and being held up over a mile seemingly did not suit him at all. He will have a bit of a break now and we will look to take him back to Wolverhampton, or possibly the turf, in the early part of the Summer.
Mezmaar ran better and was only beaten five lengths;as I touched on yesterday he is a terribly strong person and whilst the initial good gallop was fine when they slowed up into the bend he became too keen on the outside. He will certainly improve for the run and he still retains a significant amount of ability; with a little help from the handicapper he should be decently competitive in good class Handicaps going forward.
Although not quite set in stone we shall probably look to run Marshall Aid in Wolverhampton’s Staying Handicap on Monday afternoon.
