A Quietish Week Beckons
A fairly quiet week beckons; we shall likely run Mezmaar in Kempton’s seven furlong Handicap on Wednesday evening and we would also like to run Bird for Life in their Mile Handicap the same evening but there is more than a fair chance she will be eliminated, the declarations closing at 10 am today.
On Friday we have entered Mr and Mrs Senior’s nice Arcano colt, Arlecchino's Arc, in Salisbury’s seven furlong Novice Median Auction stake and we will have to see how things go ground wise in Wiltshire as we work through the week.
Finally I am dead pleased to say that Spice Fair got back safely to Rowdown pretty late on Friday evening after being almost pulled up at Kempton; for reasons that aren’t entirely clear he lost his action down the back and finished a bit distressed, something he has actually done at Kempton before, but the good news is that he hasn’t done any structural damage to himself and he is now both fine and will live to fight another day.
