Mezmaar Ran Well to be Fourth
Mezmaar ran well yesterday evening to be a close up fourth just suffering the fate of all each way bets in thirteen runner fields by a neck; he should continue to be competitive in similar races and, if the Handicapper would just relent one further pound, he will be able to carry top weight in a 0-65 which should both suit him better and enable him to get his head deservedly in front. He and Steve Drowne run well at Kempton and he is a nice, competitive and consistent horse for Rowdown.
A busy Sunday and Monday beckons, as I touched on yesterday, although we shall have look closely at the weather at declaration tomorrow with potentially significantly soft ground likely at both Bath and Ffos Las.
