Delighted with Misu Pete at Salisbury
We were delighted with Misu Pete’s continued resurgence on the turf at Salisbury yesterday; powering along throughout the second half of the race; you can see a video of the performance here
Today we take Bayston Hill back to Brighton where he has won and been second from his two runs there; he was just slightly too high in the handicap in the high Summer races after winning so nicely at Bath in May but he is back on a really competitive mark as he showed when finishing powerfully after getting trapped in behind up the Lingfield straight a fortnight ago. He has a lot going for him this afternoon and, with the one exception of the easyish ground, we would be looking for him to run a really significant race; all the evidence we have is that he is at his best on top of the ground and the dryer it gets at Brighton as the day wears on the better it will be for him.
A potentially busy weekend beckons with three guys engaged at Kempton Saturday evening and Spice Fair and Rainbow Jazz engaged at Goodwood on Sunday.
