We were really pleased with how well Shufoog ran at Lingfield to be a really close up third, witness the video; she is sure to come on for what she achieved on her first run since the middle of October and she should give her people a lot of fun and interest under both codes over the upcoming Spring and Summer.
Things didn't quite go so well for Born to Please at Huntingdon; here is Mike's readout of her race:
Born To Please didn’t enjoy going back to Huntingdon. Firstly they missed all the rain on the day and the gale force winds dried the track much more than I thought it would. It was almost faster than the last time she ran there. The wind also made racing hard. They went very slow because the jockeys were just trying to stay on down the back straight! Born pulled hard and when they finally quickened she was in no mood to race. On the plus side she came in as if she hardly had a race so we can have another go soon. At the moment we like a race at Warwick in the 10th April. We need slightly slower ground and a good pace to ran at.
A quiet week ahead in terms of runners beckons with just Dylan's Sea Song engaged in the Mare's Bumper at Chepstow on Thursday.
Just nb that we are holding an Open Morning for the Rowdown Nursery on Saturday morning, a week today; there are a couple of shares in the four two year olds available and if you would like to drop by and see them work on Saturday just drop either Mike or myself an email; all four are bowling along and all are in progressive work; you can see some of their details here.
