Bayston Hill at Wolverhampton This Evening
We take Bayston Hill back to Wolverhampton this evening; he should be competitive off 68 having won off both 67 (at Nottingham, here) and 69; and he goes as well on the tapeta as he does on the polytrack and the turf, witness when he finished second at Dunstall Park in July 2016, got the race in the Stewards Room only to have that (probably quite right!!) decision reversed on Appeal. He has not run quite to his best on his two runs this Winter after a short break but he does have a valid excuse for the second of those at Lingfield a month ago when he both lost a plate in the race and got into some traffic when trying to improve as he turns; he should run well this evening and we would be looking to him to outrun his double figure price.
Waqaas goes to Kempton tomorrow evening; and Bird for Life goes to Lingfield in the afternoon; and we could have a busy day on Saturday with Island Jungle and Walkman (another recently arrive nice older horse who won at Salisbury as a two year old for Paul Cole last July) engaged at Kempton in the evening, Tin Fandango is entered at Southwell and Misu Pete has an engagement in Doncastaer's Apprentice Handicap, the last race on the Lincoln Card.
