Kempton & Doncaster Yesterday & the Week Ahead
Both Island Jungle & Walkman ran decently promising races at Kempton yesterday, both will improve and we are looking to both of them to be effective in decent handicaps over the late Spring and Summer; Island Jungle, in particular, should come on nicely (in what could have been a decent Novice Stake) from a sympathetic ride from Fergus Sweeney as his lack of race sharpness kicked in in the straight.
Misu Pete probably found the drying ground at Doncaster a little on the fast side and probably didn't really let hmself down on it in the straight; he will have a little break and we will look to find him race on turf towards the end of the month
Bayston Hill goes back to Chelmsford tomorrow.
Arlecchino's Leap runs at Wolverhampton on Tuesday; Tin Fandango (who might be on the cusp of winning and has been a consistent horse since he was rehandicapped) and Sellingallthetime both run at Lingfield.
Shufoog is engaged in a nice Mare's Handicap Hurdle at Wincanton on Wednesday and Four Mile Bridge might make his debut for Rowdown at Kempton that evening; Black Truffle could make his debut on the fibresand at Southwell (at the age of nine and on his 102nd racecourse start) on Thursday and Arlecchino's Arc and Marshall Aid are both engaged at Chelmsford the same evening.
