Ishallak at Leicester & the Week Ahead
We take Ishallak to Leicester this evening for their twelve furlong Plate; it is not easy to articulate what sort of chance he has; he showed some reasonable ability in two of his three Novice races for Ralph Beckett running to around 67 in the last of them; but he has not showed a great deal in three runs in Handicaps and did not run great on his run for Rowdown at Lingfield last week; we are looking to the fitting a first Time Visor and the quick ground to bring about a resurrgence in his performance level; he also faces a couple of quality opponents in Clayton and Eye of the Storm and he will have to run to his best.
A busy week in terms of runners in prospect; Freedom and Wheat runs at Wolverhampton and Walkman at Nottingham on Tuesday.
Wednesday sees Mezmaar, Chantresse and Misu Pete engaged at Yarmouth; Padura Brave will probably make her three year old debut at Kempton on Wednesday evening and Sellingallthetime (who might want to be kept on the right side of) and Arlecchino's Arc are also in at the same Kempton meeting.
Thursday sees Arlecchino's Arc, Arlecchino's Leap and Black Truffle engaged at Chelmsford, Bayston Hill at Sandown and Bullseye Bullet at Goodwood both in the evening and Arlecchino's Arc has an entry at Chepstow in the afternoon.
On Friday Walkman and Island Jungle have Haydock entries and Bullseye Bullet one at Bath.
