Sorry I haven’t been in contact; I was half waiting for some definitive news so we could make a plan but it’s obvious we aren’t going to get any clear answers for a while. We just need to concentrate on battling the virus for now. I do think the government are doing a pretty good job under extreme pressure; I have a lot of time for Mr. Johnson all of a sudden! I just hope the “help” they say they will provide actually comes through because there are so many that need it I feel it will be impossible to get through to everyone. From our point of view we can’t wait that long for it because we can’t just shut up shop. The horses still need looking after and they are labour intensive...it’s expensive! That’s why your support is more important than ever and we are very grateful indeed. After all this is over we will have a big get together to celebrate getting through it, which I hope we do.
As you know Black Truffle has been down with me in Eastbury since he retired and he has been brilliant; he’s always on hand when we need him. We’re quitter now though and we don’t need his services so he is now on holiday. Luckily we have a field close to Lambourn with a few horses in so he’s out with them.
