NH Racing Suspended Until July
If I were to spin it (but not a good thing to do in a national crisis) you could say that the decision the BHA took yesterday to suspend NH Racing until the 1st of July was positive; in that it achieves two core things; firstly it provides some really much needed certainty to Trainers and Owners about how to manage their horses (in very simple terms a racefit TB is not a lightswitch you can turn on and off before entering him in a race and this will enable his management to be properly constructed); and secondly because it allows the Industry to concentrate on getting Flat racing back on from the first week of May, the resumption of which, even if Regional based and behind 'closed' doors', is the real initial key to the Industry's recovery.
This link will take you to the sp; the Staff and the Horses all remain well; and we all hope that that applies to everyone who receives the Blog.
