I don't have any specific Rowdown News to impart but just further to yesterday's blog with the Race Programme for the first week of the Resumption if you follow this link you can see the revised HBLB funding and the new proposed minimum race value for each class of race to be run when racing restarts; although these remain under review it is our current understanding that these levels will operate for the first ten weeks of the resumption (which will, at least on current plans, all be behind 'closed doors').
From a Rowdown perspective the shift of emphasis to the Middle and Grassroot tiers can only be good and we are grateful for it; and both Mike and I are also grateful for the BHA's recognition that:
"We are fortunate that many owners at all levels continue to demonstrate their loyalty to the sport, and it is important to stress that these racevalues, which will also impact on the livelihoods of trainers, jockeys and stable staff, are a short-term measure only."
Which in effect means that the BHA are thanking you guys!!
