Bird To Love will run at Kempton on Tuesday in the 8:25. It is Isobel Francis’s first ride back since the lockdown so we wish her the best of luck. It is a very competitive race and unfortunately she is drawn 14 of 14 which will make thing very hard but we will just have to see what happens. If things don’t work out this time there is plenty of opportunity coming up for her and hopefully she can follow in our other Bird’s footsteps.
Misu Pete is in at Lingfield on Friday 26th June. It is on the turf and if the ground was as it is right now you would have to think he had a good chance in the race but we are in for a very hot spell of weather now. If it does dry up a lot we may not run him.
Some good news had come from France. They are planning to start letting crowds back into races courses from mid-July. I’m sure we won’t be too far behind, even if it is in a limited capacity. They are allowing crowds up to 5000! I guess that will just be for the bigger meetings but still it’s a lot of people! One thing most race courses have though is space, so social distancing isn’t a big of a problem as some other sporting events.
