Dylan's Sea Song at Wincanton & Dreamboat Annie at Lingfield
Dylan's Sea Song lost a front shoe when not running so great on the testing Ffos Las ground a month ago; we hope that a much less testing surface and being eased a brace of pounds will give her something of a competitive chance this afternoon; prior to the Ffos Las run she had been decently consistent and the quarter the odds a place at 14/1 defo has some appeal.
Two hours later Dreamboat Annie and Isobel run in the seven furlong Apprentice Handicap; decently drawn in six, with the pieces back on for the first time in six runs and two pounds lower than when the combo powered home over the c&d at the end of August gives the Mare something of a chance; it would be true to say that the Mare, who has been a real servant to our Yard, would be nearer the end of her career on the track than the beginning and we are currently looking to find her a place at Stud; her and Isobel go back to Lingfield to have one more day in the sun off a competitive mark.
Marvellous Essex person Bayston Hill goes back to Chelmsford tomorrow evening and Blue Galaxy makes his handicap debut over ten furlongs on the same card.
Two final things; a huge game in terms of the Championship at Carrow Road this evening and just to reiterate that my mobile phone has physically expired and it will probably be tomorrow morning before it is up and running again; if you were able to use the landline 01488 72598 or 01488 73630 and the answerphone until then I would be grateful.
