OTRT Powers Home & Willingly at Leicester
We were delighted with the way On The Right Track continued his progression off the higher mark, travelling best on the long bend and winning decisively; hopefully he will not go up more than another four pounds and there are quite a few opportunities for him on the aw; he clearly likes the tapeta and this will open the possibility of taking him to Southwell as the track reopens as well as at Wolverhampton; a really happy event yesterday evening. Intoxication is a non runner at Brighton; but the ballot dropped right for Willingly at Leicester and she got nicely into the First Division of their six furlong Handicap; she is a pound wrong this afternoon and two pounds wrong going forward; the ground will be signficantly testing (the going stick doesn't get much lower than 4.6) and one positive is that she coped with soft ground when she was second at Windsor at the beginning of August; and she will be well ridden by Tyler Heard and his claim gives the filly a real chance at the weights; the constraint is that she hasn't run all that great the last twice since winning at Yarmouth and running so well at Windsor; we go to Leicester to run well and we are not without an ew chance provided the filly puts those last two runs behind her.
First Verse carries and entry at Chelmsford
on Saturday evening; and Tin Fandango could go to Goodwood Sunday
afternoon for the Jump Jockey Handicap.
