Queen of Steel at Fontwell and the Week Ahead
Tin Fandango didn't really run his race yesterday; and didn't really go on when his chance did come; he turns nine in January and yesterday was his 45th career start and his Owners have taken the wise decision to retire him; he won three times (most noticably the H&H Final at Newbury last year) and was placed 14 times; a really creditable 37% career w&p strike rate so he has earned himself, and deserves, a happy retirement which he will get.
Adaayinourlife didn't find very much
pressure as the pace lifted in the eight furlong Handicap and didn't
really run much of a race; going up in trip is probably one response.
We take Queen of Steel to Fontwell this
afternoon for their Juvenile Hurdle; she has schooled decently and has
the profile to be successful, perhaps away from GOne tracks, in Handicap
Hurdles once she has a mark; we will know a fair bit more about her
after today; including how she handles proper job Winter ground; her
effective performances on the flat were on a sound surface.
We have rerouted Perthshire's comeback run to Kempton tomorrow evening.
We have declared Heerathetrack for his hurdles debut at Hereford on Tuesday.
Liberty Bay, Viewfromthestars, Alghazaal and The Bay Warrior all have entries at Wolverhampton on Wednesday evening.
Sid's Annie is entered in the good class twelve furlong Handicap at Wolverhampton on Thursday evening.
