Clearly Heerathetrack has to do a bit
better if he is going to run under Rules; he jumped perfectly
respectably but struggled with the ground; really deep and tacky down
the back where he struggled to stay in touch. We will see how he comes
out the otherside of yesterday's race and have a think about the best
way forward with him but the intial plan ex yesterday is to go back to
the aw at around a mile or thereabouts; he is a horse, from a family we
have had a lot of success with, who has not fulfilled either his
intrinsic potential or the promise of his two year old year; and his
first performance at three when he led a 0-80 Handicap at Wolverhampton,
only fading close home, seems a way away now; but that run does
provide the rationale for taking him back to the aw.
We have declared Queen of Steel for Leicester's Juvenile Hurdle on Sunday.
