TBW & Outreach at Southwell
TBW runs at Southwell for only the second
time, the first being beaten eight lengths in a similar handicap last
August off 64; he runs off 61 this afternoon and that, and the balance
of his form over the Winter at Chelmsford, Wolverhampton and Kempton,
gives him a competitive ew chance at the weights this pm in a tight
handicap. He has to act on the Nottinghamshire tapeta but there is no
reason why he shouldn't and we hope he will like Southwell and not be
far away; his current double figure prices under state the competitive
chance he has.
Outreach runs at Southwell for the ft in
the divided seven furlong Handicap so the first constraint is that we
have to take on trust that he will act there; but, like TBW, there is
no reason why he shouldn't; he is nicely handicapped on the balance of
his form over this Winter with only possibly Brother Dave having a
better chance at the weights this afternoon; the draw could have been
closer to the rail but he has quite a bit going for him if you are
prepared to make the assumption that he will bounce off the tapeta on
the turn in and, although his price of around sevens is not as much
understatement as the TBW, we hope he will not be far away and the place
double might pay around 14s.
Conquest of Power and VFTS both go to Wolverhampton tomorrow afternoon.
