Outturn from Yesterday
Outreach had a trouble free passage and got up to win cosily; he shouldn't go up more than three pounds and hopefully only two; he won off 48 yesterday evening and off 50 when he won on Boxing Day so we are not without hope of being able to follow up; all of his best form has been round Wolverhampton although he did act well at Southwell.
It probably better not to watch the replay of See The Buckthorn's race; a nightmare from the mo he left to the stalls to the third time he was stopped after the turn in; a typical run at Wolverhampton where things don't go the right way; although he rather contributed to his own bad luck by hanging around in the stalls; an absolute draw a line through jobbie and there will be another day.
Little White Dove's tail was certainly less
prominent and that is at least a positive; but neither her nor Pearl
of Rowdown ran particularly great races and it might not be particularly
easy to find a race for either of them.
Although in the end Close of Play faded
away in the last 100 yards she did seem to run a degree better in the
visor and was well positioned by George to have as much chance as she
could have on the turn in; difficult, also, to structure a way ahead
with her.
But our fourth winner in a week is defo a
happy event; and do not give up on STB in a similar racel; he would
have had a cracking chance yesterday if things had dropped differently.
No runners today; we have declared Vitaine
Verlaine for her debut at Lingfield tomorrow afternoon; and the The
Bay Warrior and Garden View both go to Kempton tomorrow evening.
Conquest of Power and Fahrenheit Seven both have entries at Epsom on Thursday evening.
