Fahrenehit Seven Back on the Track at Doncaster
We are particularly pleased to be able to get Fahrenheit Seven back to the track after a bit of a setback after he won so well at Epsom in July; he runs in the Second Division of the seven furlong Apprentice Final; Conquest of Power runs in the First Division of the Apprentice Final and See The Buckthorn runs in the seven furlong Handicap at Chelmsford in the evening.
F7 is a smart horse and some of his home
work has been seriously impressive; he has been on an upward curve
since he first ran at Chelmsford at the beginning of April where he ran
to around 71; and in his five subsequent runs he ran to perhaps 78, 73.
75. 84 and finally 86 at Epsom; and he was visually impressive at Epsom
coming from an unpromising position to win decisively; a good class
race and he has to continue to improve to win and might have around four
pounds to find with Look Back Smiling and a couple of pounds to find
with It Just Takes Time; and he might also, just, come on for running
tomorrow and we hope that he will be set up for the good class races on
the artificial surfaces over the Winter; so, coupled with going up to
seven for the ft, it is difficult to have quite the same level of
confidence that we had for those last two winning performances; but he
is a seriously nice horse who will be a classy four year old; and the
long term aim is the Ayr Gold Cup!
Conquest of Power was off the track for
almost three months following having his wind tweaked; and in three
runs back he has slowly been regaining his form and racesharpness; he
has to be back to his performances at Lingfield
and Chelmsford in May to be involved close home; but he did run well
and showed progression when sixth over six at Donny at the end of last
month; and he goes back to Town Moor to run just as well and hopefully
better and be involved; we are pleased to have been able to get Tom K-M
to ride both of our guys; he is a really promising rider.
At Chelmsford Tyler rides STB; we could
have been better drawn than 11 and, one way and another, he is not the
easiest horse in the Yard to train, witness the hood and his
inconsistent performances at Salisbury and Lingfield over the Summer;
but eased a pound to 46 this gives him the best chance in the field at
the weights with the exception of the top weight who won decisively lto
and runs off 58 this evening having been competitive off marks above 70
in 2023; our guy goes back to Chelmsford to have an ew, competitive,
chance of being at least in the frame.
No runners Sunday; and we have just Searchingtheblues engaged, at Newcastle, on Monday.
