Lingfield Abandoned, Tomorrow Day at Newcaslte
Things went pretty well at Chelmsford yesterday evening with Q20 Boy, Shades of May and Lumberjack all running well; and there should be quite a bit to look forward with all three of these guys going forward, at least in terms of winning in the same grade as last night.
The slight disappointment was Meisterzinger
who dropped away in the last furlong and is yet to recapture his 2023
form; we will have a think about where to go with him going forward.
Lingfield has been abandoned this pm and we
will reroute Arlecchino's Gift; but we might have found the next
opportunity for Tomorrow Day over his favourite c&d in Geordieland;
our guy has found some real consistency with the tie and visor and
eased in grade this evening he should have a serious competitive chance
with just possibly Sir Maxi and Sparten Fighter having marginally better
theoretical chances on the book; and the form of the race over seven
just before Christmas (he was beaten just over two lengths and is almost
certainly a little more effective over six) has also worked out; he
should run really well this evening and not be far away.
Art Fantastique and Conquest of Power both
go to Wolverhampton tomorrow evening; at some point Conquest of Power's
handicap will allow him to pick up and carry the opposition and still
bolt up.
