The Week Ahead
Not perhaps a great evening at
Wolverhampton yesterday; Saidha didn't seem to appreciate six furlongs
round Wolverhampton as much as she did seven at Lingfield and we hoped
she would have run better than she did; the one silver lining is that
she should be eased for that run and will be better off in Handicaps.
Leading Star Girl did show a degree of improvement, coming into the race on the turn in and beaten just over four lengths in the end; with more experience we will look to her to show some further improvement in a similar grade. Clearly Bird About Town was not right and Tyler rightly eased her right off.
We have declared Arlecchino's Rex for Wolverhampton's seven furlong Handicap on Monday evening.
Conquest of Power and Tomorrow Day both
have two entries each at Newcastle on Tuesday evening; each of them has
an entry over six and an entry over seven. Conquest of Power also has
an entry at Southwell on Friday evening in their six furlong Classified
Stake.
Sid's Annie has an entry over eleven
furlongs in Kempton's Fillies London Middle Distance qualifier at
Kempton Wednesday evening.
Finally Napa Lady, our Sergi Prokofief
three year old filly, might make her debut in Lingfield's seven furlong
Maiden on Friday afternoon; and Arlecchino's Gift has an entry in the
six furlong Handicap on the same card.
