Two More Two Year Olds at Newbury
Tomorrow Day clearly didn't find Lingfield
as conducive as Newcastle; and he has been on the go throughout the
Winter which was probably a factor in what was his first moderate run
since coming back to sprint distances.
Grand Echo, by Kodi Bear, and Ten Cuidado,
by Nando Parrado, both run in Newbury's five furlong Maiden, the first
race of their Spring Meeting and often historically used as an initial
stepping stone for horses who might have Royal Ascot as a target. We
have been pleased with both of them although in the way of most of our
Two Year Olds they will come on for running this afternoon and both will
be seen to better effect in the final third of today's race than in the
first. Ten Cuidado is out of Best Be Careful who did so well for us in
Sprint Handicaps a decade ago winning five races and being placed 11
times.
No runners after today until at least next Wednesday.
