Runners at Wolverhampton & Kempton
Outreach and Heerathetrack both go to Wolverhampton for alternative Divisions of the seven furlong Handicap; the first constraint that both of them could not have fared worse with the draw and both of them are in 12.
Outreach is eased a pound to 48 and he won off 45 in the second week of February,
although that was a Classified iteration; George has ridden out his
claim so he runs today off six pounds more in the saddle; that said he
has a competive chance at the weights with only one guy, the favourite,
having a couple of pounds in hand and more or less an equal chance with
the rest; the race, as these Handicaps almost invaribly do, will turn
on the pace, how the race is run and the traffic on the turn in; he is
probably overpriced ew at 12s or 14s and expect him to run well this
afternoon and he is not without an ew chance at a decent price.
Heeerathetrack has a very similar form
chance; the possible constraint with him being that nearly all of his
best form has been on the polytrack rather than the tapeta; and he is
four pounds higher than when he won at Chelmsford at the beginning of last month; but if the race drops right he should have a decent ew chance of being involved close home.
At Kempton Almizan and Miss Chester run in
alternate Divisions of the six furlong all aged Novice; we are looking
to Almizan to show improvement on what she achieved on her debut for us a
fortnight ago; she was keen enough over eight furlongs before getting
tired over three out and we hope that dropping back to six will help
Miss Chester will improve for running this
evening and how she gets on this evening will help inform us of where to
go with her going forward; she is likely to have a future in Handicaps
once we have got her a mark. There are some well bred and clearly
really quite nice horses in both of the Divisions, particularly in
Almizan's race and the experience of running this evening will help both
of them.
