Outturn from Yesterday
A decent day yesterday, at least as regards
50% of our runners; Heerathetrack ran another really decent race to
lead over one out at Wolverhampton before just finding a mark of 54 and a
reasonably well handicapped favourite too strong close home; but still
a respectable and decent performance off the mark.
We were particularly pleased with Miss
Chester's performance; green early she got the hang of things in the
straight and was going on all the way to the line and was beaten just on
five lengths, which was getting steadily less close home; she is from a
family that was essentially at their best from eight and ten furlongs
and she should improve a fair bit both when she goes up in trip and for
running yesterday; she should win races.
Outreach ran reasonably respectably and
might have finished closer if he hadn't run out of room in the last
furlong, although he was just beginning to fade.
We will look to Almizan to be effective in handicaps once she has got a mark.
Monks Mead goes to Lingfield tomorrow evening; more of him tomorrow.
