Miss Chester Powers Home
We were delighted with the progression Miss Chester made over a furlong further than her debut; it was particularly pleasing to see the way she stuck on on the last half a furlong after the opposition came at her and she was going away again at the line; it might not have been the very, very best Maiden ever run at Kempton but she could do nothing but win it decisively and she will improve again; she will win handicaps going forward and hopefully won't get a mark more than 72 or 73; she is a nice filly in the making and we are really pleased to have her in the Yard.
This evening Heerathetrack goes back to
just about his favourite c&d, seven at Chelmsford; and we have had
the luck of the draw in One. He should run really well this evening;
the constraint about actually winning might be the mark of 54 which
could be one or two pounds above his ideal winning mark and he seems to
have around three, four or possibly five pounds to find with the (poorly
named would be one vu) top horse and perhaps two pounds to find with
Ocean Odyssey; but an equal or better form chance than the rest; he is
a viable and realistically competitive ew chance at around eights and
nines, particularly if you go down to fourth place.
No runners tomorrow; we are just thinking
about the declarations at Leicester on Saturday where we have Miss
Ayala, Outreach and Monks Mead engaged; nb that MM is now down to 54, a
highly competitive mark on last year's form.
