Outturn from the Weekend
The Blog's back to normal from this morning.
Arlecchino's Rex ran another excellent race at Wolverhampton on Friday evening,
landing the ew dabbles and just one stride short of getting up; and
would very likely have won from a better draw, and even, quite possibly,
without the switch over one out regardless of the draw; off this mark
and in the grade he should continue to be real competitive.
It is not so easy to be as buoyant about
Amakhala who did not seem to show much improvement for the switch to
turf and dropping back to five furlongs at Nottingham on Saturday; we
will have to have a think about where to go with him but going back up
in trip and making less use of him would be things to consider.
No runners today but The Bay Warrior goes
to Wolverhampton for their twelve furlong Handicap tomorrow evening;
eased two pounds and runs off 54 in the saddle with Rose's five pounds
and that should give him a real competitive chance from a brill draw;
more of him tomorrow.
Our only other entry before the weekend is
Searchingtheblues in Southwell's seven furlong Handicap Thursday
evening; eased in grade and her declaration is 10am tomorrow morning.
