Two Winners at Newcastle
Firstly here are Summer Oasis and Seeking Charles performances from last weekend; both give serious grounds for optimism, particularly SC who is clearly significantly improving; and might just be real good with eight hurdles in front of him.
Things
went great at Newcastle yesterday; and both Searchingtheblues and TBW
ran really well, Searchingtheblues just fading in those final strides to
prevent the place yankee being 100% up. It would be true to say,
probably, that the filly is a difficult horse to win with but TBW ran to
just about his recent consistent best and showed that he remains a
viable proposition from ten to twelve furlongs in this grade.
Victory
Sound won really cosily under an excellent intuitive ride from Connor
Beasley; the 'really cosily' being relevant as to what the OH now does,
given that less than two years ago he was rated 92 (our very own
Oviedo!); but both he and Tomorrow Day are horses to keep an eye on
going forward off their current marks; and the Winter AW Championship
begins in the third week of October. Videos to follow.
Arlecchino's
Moon goes to Kempton this evening for their eight furlong Novice; he
should be suited by the step up in trip and he goes to Kempton to gain
experience; he will be seen to better effect in handicaps after this
evening.
No runners over the weekend; more about plans for Monday and Tuesday on Saturday and Sunday.
