By Stimulation who produced last years Cesarewitch winner Sweet Selection and out of a Beat Hollow mare, Born To Please is very much bred to stay. She had quite a good start as a 2 year old, finishing 2nd at Windsor on her 2nd run and followed up with a solid run at Sandown to finish 5th. She raced like a true professional that day, we just felt she was just a bit weak at the time to see it out. Later we tried her on the all-weather but she never really took to it. Towards the end out 2016 we decided to put her away and bring her back as a 3 year old.

She came back into work at the end of February and has quietly progressed on the racecourse running well behind our own Bayston Hill at Bath at the end of May and finishing a running on third at Nottingham in the third week of July; she then fulfilled the promise she has always shown by winning a mile Appprentic Handicap at Sandown at the beginning of August under a confident ride from Nicola Currie, who gets on particuartly welll with her; you can see a video of their performance here

Following a break over the (pretty tough) Winter of 2017/2018 she returned to the track at Salsbury as a four year old at the end of April and won a ten furlong handicap decisively by five lengths under a highly comeptent ride from an Apprentice with an emerging talent, Jason Watson; if you go here you can see a video of the race and here is Jason's post race interview .

She was sent over hurdles at the end of 2018 finishing second in a good class Novice at Newbury, which you can see here; a mixed campaign under both rules followed in 2019 and she won an Amateur riders handicap at Nottingham at the beginning of October under Ciaran Jones; and then immediately followed up over hurdles at Uttoxeter in November

The winner of four races and placed seven times from 37 starts she has been a fine servant to our Racing Club; here she is in her box on the 17th of April 2020. After a quiet initial run, at Leicester in June, following the resumption she produced a much more proficient performanceto be third at Sandown over ten furlongs in the third week of July, the performance being all the more creditable given that the ground was on the firmer side of good.

She won again at Nottingham over ten furlongs in October 2020 under Harriet Tucker; and was placed three times over hurdles in the Winter of 2020/2021, at Leicester and Newbury in December and at Sandown in March; and showed that she is still effective over ten furlongs on the flat by finishing third over ten furlongs at Sandown in May of 2021. She then had an extended rest over the Summer of 2021 and returned to the track in a Mare's Handicap Hurdle at Leicester at the beginning of December 2021.
