2019 Bay Filly
by Farhh (GB) ex Blushing Beauty (GB) ( Youmzain (Ire) )
By the successful and excellent stallion Farhh out of a Youmzain Mare who won in Germany; the filly has, right from her first pieces of work, shown at home that she can put one hoof in front of the other and the Yard were collectively delighted with her first appearance on a racecourse, a seven furlong Restricted Novice Stake at Kempton at the end of October; under an excellent ride from Ellie Mackenzie she powered on home from over two out to finish a fast finishing Second to a 71 rated winner; she will improve very considerable for this run and we hope that she is a nice filly in the making.
Two further runs in Novice company followed, at Chelmsford at the end of November and back at Kempton in the second week of December, finishing fifth and fourth in both races, running well, with a great deal of luck, both times.
She ran for the first time in a Handicap, over seven furlongs on the new tapeta surface, in the second week of January 2022; and, after being keen early, ran really well to be a keeping on third off a mark of 68. We were delighted that she followed up over a mile at Kempton three weeks later, rallying gamely in the last furlong to get back up; and then ran just as well to win nicely at Southwell at the end of February 2022.
She picked up a minor problem and was off the track for three months; she then ran respectably in four handicaps, at Nottingham, Kempton, Wolverhampton and Leicester without, quite, reaching the level of her two wins.
She had a further break over the late Summer and Autumn on 2022 and came back to the track, now a well handicapped filly, in January 2023; and has run consistently and well winning three races, at Southwell in March, Wolverhampton in the middle of June, at Doncaster at the beginning of July; she then made it four wins and four places from 12 starts in 2023 when upped in trip to twelve furlongs by powering home in a good class Fillies' Handicap on the July Course in the first week of August; she is self evidently a talented and versatile filly who is equally capable on the turf and the aw; and we will look to continue her progression towards some Black Type.
