3-y-o Horses in Training

2017   Bay   Gelding

by Kyllachy (GB)  ex  Sweetest Revenge (Ire)  ( Daggers Drawn (USA) )

Owner:  Ridgeway Partnership

A half brother to two winners, Sweet Ovation and My Sweet Lord, this strong gelding is closely related to four high class horses, Lucky Kristale, Arabian Gleam, Royal Alchemist and the recent Coolmore G3 Leopardstown winner Peach Tree; he came into Coppington at the end of January to be broken and ridden away; he spent most of March gently cantering and if you follow this link you can see him, after just three weeks, cantering in behind the five year old, 79 rated, Waqaas on the 29th of March before returning to Hollybush Farm for three months to mature.

He returned to Rowdown at the beginning of July with a view to being on the track in September 2019 and the photo above was taken on his second day back in the Yard being ridden by Ellie Mackenzie. If you follow this link you can see him working with two thirds speed over four furlongs with Misu Pete on the morning of 28th August. And here is a short video of him wanging along a bit faster with the three year Four Mile Bridge on 27th September.

He had three runs in Maiden Company over the Winter of 2019; and one run in a Handicap before Racing was shutdown as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak; he is still growing and maturing and we are looking forward to running him on the turf over the Summer once Racing has resumed.

If you follow this link you can see six of his Dam's seven wins and just note the speed she showed when winning at Lingfield in the October of her Two Year Old year.

And if you go here you can see his second Cousin, Royal Alchemist, winning the Listed Snowdrop Stakes at Kempton in April 2016; and here is another second Cousin, Peach Tree, winning the Group Three Stanerra Stakes at Leopardstown for Coolmore on the 11th of July 2019.

And here is Sweetest Revenge's first foal, Sweet Ovation, winning at Chepstow in August 2011.
